Topping up your prepayment meter

There are three ways you can top up your smart prepayment meter:

  1. In our app or online, anytime.

  2. Take your smart card to a Post Office or Payzone store.

  3. Call our automated line 24/7 on 0330 332 0976.

Using Emergency and Friendly Credit

If you’re ever running out of credit and can’t top up right away, you can get £10 of Emergency Credit on your meter to cover you until you can.

Friendly Credit is similar. It kicks in automatically if you run out of credit any time the shops are closed. All you need to do is pay back any Emergency or Friendly Credit you’ve used the next time you top up.
