The supply address is the address your bill relates to. Your rota block letter is linked to your postcode and used by National Grid to help communicate planned power cuts. The address we’ve sent the bill to is the one linked to your account, which may be different to your supply address.

2. Your account at a glance

Your total costs and any payments we’ve received since your last bill, and the period this bill covers.

3. Your payment due

4. Information about your tariff and payment

This shows what tariff you’re on, any end date and exit fees, and how you pay. Based on your projected usage, we’ll show your estimated energy costs to help you plan ahead. Find out more about tariffs on our website.

5. Your energy usage and costs

This shows exactly how much gas and/or electricity usage your bill covers, and if we’ve used actual or estimated meter readings. We also include a breakdown of any VAT.

If you’ve switched tariff (including variable tariffs) or your prices have changed over the bill period, we'll show your new prices separately so you can see which ones applied on different days.

How we calculate your gas cost

To work out your gas cost we convert the units you’ve used into kilowatt hours of energy, or kWh using the formula below:Usage (in kWh) = Units Consumed (Cubic Metres) × Volume Correction (for temperature & pressure) × Calorific Value (energy in each m3 of gas) ÷ 3.6 (convert from joules).

6. Your year-on-year comparison

If we’ve got enough of your energy usage history, we’ll show you whether you’re using more or less energy than you did in the same period last year.

If this isn't showing on your bill, you can still view your consumption values and compare it to previous bills in your online account or speak to our helpful advisors.
